No one is perfect in the human or animal world. You may have a pet that you are perfectly matched to but somewhere, even if hidden from your view is a flaw of some type. One cat in the UK has an imperfection that just so happens to be where his nose should be. Here’s hoping that this small difference in how he looks doesn’t stop his chance of being adopted.
Dave was born with a nose but later had some of his nose removed because of a tumor. The remaining part functions fine and does not affect his health at all. However, because he looks different he isn’t being adopted as quickly as hoped.
Dave is living at the Bath Cats and Dogs Home in Somerset, England as he waits for his forever human. Rachel Jones at the Bath Cats and Dogs Home knows Dave the best of all and knows what he needs. She hopes that he will find a “quiet retirement home” where he can “live the rest of his years in peace and quiet.”
“Dave is beautiful but sadly due to his looks he’s struggling to find a home,” Rachel said. “It doesn’t affect him at all and he doesn’t need specialist care – he just looks odd. But he’s a very loving cat and just waiting for someone to overlook his unusual feature and give him a forever home.”
Would You Adopt Dave?
If Dave were available in your area, would you adopt a cat like him? If you answered yes, then make sure to check out your local shelter. There are many animals in shelters who are overlooked because they look different than what is considered normal. Some have special needs and others are completely healthy like Dave. Make sure to give those animals with minor imperfections a second thought. Your best friend may just be waiting for you, as others overlook him or her.
