Kenny Croyle headed out for a fun day on California’s Folsom Lake with his family. It was a beautiful Sunday and everything was going as planned. That is until he ended up saving the life of a fawn that was drowning.
Croyle noticed another vessel that had its flag up. That is supposed to mean that someone is swimming in the water. Croyle looked around but didn’t see a person swimming. But then he spotted the fawn. “After looking around for a few seconds we spotted a fawn swimming with its head just above water,” Croyle said. “After watching the fawn for a short time, it seemed clear that it was exhausted and could not find its way back to land.”
A Rescue And A Reunion
Without hesitation, Crowle jumped in to save the fawn. Croyle retrieved the fawn and brought it to his boat. Croyle’s wife wrapped the fawn in towel to dry it off. They soon learned that the deer’s mother and twin sibling were spotted on the shoreline. This was to be a rescue with a reunion day.
“We boated over to the shore where the mother was and I placed the fawn above the steep embankment on the grass,” Croyle explained. “It looked around for a few seconds, then jumped up and ran back over to where its mother and the other fawn were.”
No doubt that Croyle saved the little animal’s life. Yet Croyle remains humble about the rescue. “It feels really good knowing that we gave him a second chance,” Croyle said. “I was just glad that we were able to help him.”
Thankfully not only was this fawn’s life saved, but he was reunited with his mom and sibling. It has been caught on tape for all to enjoy. Make sure to share. With so many bad things happening in the world, it’s good to see a great outcome like this. Take a look at the rescue here.
