A kitten with no caregiver often lives a short life of misery. This could have been the fate of one stray kitty living all alone on the streets of Los Angeles. The kitten, now named Pistachio had no human to look out for her. But that didn’t stop her from trying to get people’s attention by asking for help in the only way she knew how.
Pistachio walked the streets and went door to door meowing at people. But even when she meowed in her loudest voice, no one paid any attention to her. No one that is until an animal rescue group called Alley Cat Rescue found Pistachio. She was only three months old when they took her in. A volunteer at Alley Cat Rescue named Desiree knew she would do all she could to save the tiny kitten.
Just Look At That Face!
Desiree is the one who found Pistachio as a stray. Pistachio was standing on a porch and meowing at the top of her lungs. The first thing that Desiree did was to bring her into the house and give her a bath. Pistachio had fleas and was covered in dirt.
Next, Desiree found a foster home for Pistachio. She now had foster parents who cared for her and loved her too. Pistachio blossomed in her foster home. Her days of crying for help were replaced with days of play.
Pistachio Never Lost Her Trust Of Humans
Through it all, Pistachio never lost her trust of humans. “Open your arms and she settles in for a cuddle! She is quick to purr and show how happy she is!” Desiree said.
Pistachio is now ready for her forever home. If you would like to know more about her or Alley Cat Rescue, take a look at their Facebook page.
